Historic Downtown Brunswick GA houses both city and county government facilites, and is accessible easily from the I-95
and US Highway 17.
The city of Brunswick has a Historic Preservation Ordinance which promotes an ongoing preservation of the city's rich architectural heritage and
raises the value of residential and commerical properties.
Throughout the year the Mary Ross Waterfront Park and the adjacent Brunswick Landing Marina play host to a variety of festivals and events.
The current Glenn County courthouse (pictured above) was built in 1991, though the old courthouse still sands accross the street.
In 1896 a hurricane destroyed the original court house, and it's replacement was built in 1907. The two story brick structure still
stands today.
